Opening of Funicamp summer 2024 with a wide range of activities for all publics

Funicamp opens its doors on 6 July to start the summer season, which will run until 1 September from 10:00 to 17:00 (with the last trip up at 16:00), so that residents and visitors can enjoy the different attractions offered by the Encamp mountain.  

The Funicamp is an exceptional facility, one of the longest funiculars in Europe that takes you from the centre of Encamp, in less than twenty minutes and after travelling more than six kilometres following the valley of Els Cortals d'Encamp, with magnificent views, it reaches an altitude of 2,500 metres, in the Solanelles area. From here you can go on 4x4 excursions, go fishing in the high mountains without death, guided visits to the Orri del Cubil, and go up with the widget and down by mountain bike.

Summer activities with Funicamp

During this summer period, the Funicamp is the starting point for many hiking routes, via ferrata, 4×4 bus tours, fishing and, also, you can access by bike to go down the marked mountain bike routes. In addition to discovering high mountain landscapes, you can also get to know the cultural and historical heritage with a visit to the Orri del Cubil.  

For the third consecutive year, you can also enjoy the no-kill high mountain fishing for children in the Cubil Lake. This activity is free for children from 6 to 14 years old and has a specialised guide who teaches the different fishing techniques to the participants. The activity lasts one hour and the Cubil Lake can be reached by 4x4 bus from Solanelles, on foot or by bike.   

There is also the possibility of stopping at the intermediate station of Funicamp to walk through the valley of Els Cortals, do a via ferrata or visit the Pont Tibetà, several routes on foot or climbing in the outdoor climbing wall of Els Cortals.  

During the summer season the Solanelles restaurant will also be open where you can enjoy panoramic views.  

 Funicamp fares

With regard to fares, the basic one-way trip to Funicamp costs 10 euros, and the return trip costs 15 euros. Apart from that, there are different packages available with the widget and the activities that can be done. For example, the package 'Excursion 4x4 Orri del Cubil' which includes the round trip with Funicamp and the 4x4 excursion from Solanelles to Cubil.
