Santa Maria d'Organyà

The collegiate church of Santa Maria, or simply Santa Maria d'Orgaña, is a Romanesque church located in the centre of Orgaña, first documented in 993.

 

Santa Maria d'Orgaña is especially known for having been the place where the text of the Homilies d'Organyà was found, which are considered to be one of the oldest literary documents written in Catalan.
