In 2015, the Casa Comunal de Sant Julià de Lòria signed an agreement with the professional cyclist Joaquim Rodríguez Oliver "Purito Rodríguez" to link his name with that of the mountain pass of Collado de la Gallina. Thus was born the Purito Route, which also gives its name to a cycling tour that is held every year in August, with the participation of professional and amateur cyclists.

It is a one-way uphill route, i.e. from Fontaneda to Canòlich, and cyclists have preference. The Purito Route starts at the Solà bridge, goes in the direction of the village of Fontaneda, climbs the Coll de la Gallina where there is a commemorative sculpture dedicated to Purito Rodríguez - the work of the Catalan artist Philippe Lavaill -, descends passing the sanctuary of the Virgin of Canòlich, also through the village of Bixessarri and ends in the village of Aixovall.
