A tamarro is an imaginary beast that protects nature and usually lives in the forests of the Pyrenees, especially in the areas of Pallars, Occitania and Andorra.
In the latter region, Andorra Turisme and the 7 Comunes have devised a route that runs through the different parishes (the territories that make up the Andorran territorial division) and have placed a tamarro in each one of them.
In total, there are seven tamarros, one in each parish.
Here's a hint: each portal has the shape of the tamarro it can carry.
Before starting your search, go to one of the tourist offices in our network and they will give you the book/carnet of the tamarros. As you find them, you can mark them with the corresponding symbol. When you have finished the search for the seven tamarros, if you present the book/card at the nearest tourist office, you will receive a prize. This activity can be done all year round, weather and terrain conditions permitting. It is also recommended to do it with the appropriate equipment (warm clothes and footwear suitable for snow or snowshoes in winter and mountain footwear in summer).
LAU, THE TAMARRO OF SANT JULIÀ DE LÒRIA
It is about 10 minutes from the point where you can leave your car (the same road that leads to Naturland). There is a slight slope, but the path is wide because it is a forest track. You have to be careful, but it is easy to get there.
