The Larrún peak (in Basque, Larrun, meaning 'good pastures' in that language; probably a popular etymology; in French, until the 20th century Larhune, now La Rhune) is a European peak located in the western Pyrenees, on the border between Spain and France, where the traditional Basque territories of Labort and Navarre (Cinco Villas region) meet. Its altitude is 905 m.     The panorama offers an unobstructed view over the surrounding territories of Basse Navarre, Navarre and Guipuzcoa, the Basque Coast on the shores of the Cantabrian Sea from San Sebastian to the mouth of the river Adour, reaching as far as the Landes and the Atlantic Ocean.
