The Bici Lab Andorra opens the exhibition 'Pedalant com ahir', an exhibition that talks about centenary cycling and reliving the past.
 
From 1 March to 1 April, the centre is offering an ephemeral exhibition to showcase an early 20th century racing bicycle from the Riberaygua collection with a particular history. The exhibition recalls the milestone of Gabriel Pernau aboard the Clément Cicles, which one hundred years after it was manufactured, returned to the roads replicating the route of the first Volta a Catalunya.
 
Located in the foyer of the Bici Lab Andorra, the exhibition "Pedalant com ahir" (Pedalling like today) is a monographic display for 30 days, an epic cycling story full of romanticism.
 
The exhibition reviews the origins and the first edition of one of the oldest cycling competitions in the world, the Volta a Catalunya, which is still held today, but above all it focuses on the experience of Gabriel Pernau, journalist and greatest bicycle lover, who on a 1900 road bike, a Clément Cicles from the Riberaygua collection, emulated the pioneers of Catalan cycling by reproducing the route of the first edition of the Volta Catalunya ninety years later.
 
On 1 April at 4 p.m., the exhibition will close with the talk A piñón fijo: pedalling like a century ago, given by Pernau himself, who will explain his experiences crossing Catalonia on the back of a century-old bicycle to emulate a time when cyclists were little less than heroes. The talk will be completed with the screening of a documentary report that was broadcast by TV3, twenty years ago, to explain the heroic deed.
