The Serra de Montsec, is a protected natural space of the Prepyrenees that goes from east to west through the counties of la Noguera, Pallars Jussà and Ribagorça. The mountain presents a diversity of landscapes of great beauty and contrasts that allow a wealth of flora and fauna of great singularity in Catalonia.
Our hives are located in spaces that preserve their wild nature and are characterized by expanses of scrub and forest where aromatic and melliferous plants such as rosemary, thyme, lavender and savory are found and which provide the honey with fragrances and an exclusive flavour of the territory.
Our honey is 100% pure, just as we find it in nature.
Raw honey is honey that has not undergone any transformation since the bees have generated it until it has been packaged. The extraction system is manual at room temperature, which allows all its properties to be kept intact.
Pure honey contains enzymes provided by insects and plants, and which provide digestive, healing, antioxidant and bacteriostatic properties.
With the care of the bees we also help maintain the natural ecosystem of the environment. For this reason we have fixed hives, in this way the bees provide a benefit of constant pollination for the different blooms of plants, shrubs and natural trees in the area.
This may mean producing less honey during the year but in return it provides a greater benefit to the natural habitat. There are flowers that are not melliferous but have other benefits for the biodiversity of the ecosystem, either because they fix atmospheric nitrogen in the soil or produce seeds for migratory birds.
