With its 170 permanent inhabitants (the Orlunais) the village of Orlu is one of the first in Haute Ariège to have fully assumed the transition between the peasant culture of the beginning of the last century and the current reasoned tourism turned towards nature.

The political will is resolutely turned towards development that respects the environment and corresponds to the wishes of the local populations. With the National Reserve. (protected natural area where the observation of wild animals is facilitated) and the tourist site of Les Forges (House of wolves, Akrobranch, Miason of hydroelectricity, House of biodiversity....), you will find a multitude of activities for the whole family.
